Mental Health Need
Emma offers mental health assessments which are individualised with a clear formulation of needs for the young person. An early assessment is paramount to help prevent adverse effects with a young person, who has a neurodevelopmental condition. Assessing and providing intervention in childhood is beneficial to the young person’s recovery and self-confidence before adulthood.
Emotional Regulation work to young people
Emma offers Emotional Regulation work to young people, so they can develop skills to manage their own emotions being able to self-regulate. When supporting your child to regulate their emotions, you as a parent/carer need to be aware of your own emotions, your own reactions to these emotions, and how they affect your child’s emotions. This is what we call co-regulation. If new skills are learnt to regulate emotions, then instead of acting impulsive and acting on something we may regret later, we are able to make wise choices using our wise mind, which helps improves mental wellbeing. She offers Relaxation sessions which include Mindfulness mainly for neurodiverse young people.
