About Us

Beacon Autism and ADHD Clinic is a private clinic based in Beaconside, Stafford, Staffordshire. It is very central and has an easy access from all major cities of the UK via road or rail. We offer a comprehensive assessment and approach to neurodevelopmental disorders.

This is a multidisciplinary team which offers not only diagnostic services but also provides ongoing support for young people and families. We work with the NHS partners and Education. Our team has a wide range of experience in the field of Neurodevelopmental disorders and is highly qualified.

We are selective in our assessments, and it only includes Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our assessments are in accordance with NICE guidelines. We use standardised processes which are used nationally and internationally. Sleep problems are common in these conditions, and we can help with the management of sleep problems commonly associated these disorders or otherwise.

Clinical Governance

Clinical governance is achieved by continuous review of our work. We have a clinical governance committee which is led by a very senior clinician who has been thoroughly involved in clinical governance. Our committee will meet every three months to review service user feedback, ensure updated guidelines, check evidence-based approach, complaints, significant event and to ensure all standards of a safe service are met. Data protection, clinical and general, safety, clinical audits, risk register, education and training, staff management, confidentiality and information for families will be discussed regularly.

Clinical governance committee is very diverse in representation and includes a senior Psychiatrist, a senior practice manager, our medical director and a parent. All members except medical director are not part of the organisation and are independent professionals.

Confidentiality

All information will be kept secure and confidential as we use a very secured IT system. We follow GMC guidelines about confidentiality. All clinicians are bound by their respective professional bodies to
adhere to confidentiality policies. We are ICO registered

Mobile Phones

We request that mobile phones are switched off in the clinic to avoid any distraction and disruption.
No recording is allowed in the clinical session by parents. If you have any such intention, please speaks to the clinician but he/she may refuse. We occasionally record child observations so they can be reviewed closely by different professionals in the best interest of your child but a prior written permission will be requested for this.

Feedback

Your feedback is always valued whether it is a complaint or a compliment. We have very clear policy about complaint procedure to ensure that your concerns are addressed as soon as possible. Please refer to our complaint’s procedure.
